Dawn Wilburn

Dawn is the owner of Vantage Counseling in Norton Shores, Michigan, and has been providing professional counseling services in private practice since 2015. She earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from Spring Arbor University and is an EMDR-trained clinician with extensive experience helping individuals improve their mental health and emotional well-being.

Dawn believes the relationship between therapist and client is often the catalyst for healing, new perspectives, and lasting change. She is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where every client feels heard, respected, and valued. Because every individual is unique, Dawn tailors each treatment plan to meet the client’s specific needs and goals. She incorporates evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Ego State Therapy. Together, these therapies help clients explore their thoughts, emotions, and past experiences. Through self-awareness, understanding, and insight, clients can heal, create lasting change, and reconnect with their authentic selves.

Dawn provides counseling for individuals facing a wide range of personal, emotional, and relationship challenges. She specializes in helping clients manage anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief and loss, relationship concerns, problematic sexual behavior, internet pornography addiction, social concerns, and phobias. In addition, she has extensive experience working with individuals affected by sexual abuse, betrayal trauma, and domestic violence. She provides compassionate therapy for both survivors and offenders while helping clients develop healthier coping skills and stronger relationships. Dawn’s deep respect for each client’s experience guides her work and reflects her commitment to meaningful growth, healing, and lasting positive change.
