Jonathan Yeoh

Jonathan Zu Wei Yeoh is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern completing his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Andrews University. He is completing his internship at Vantage Counseling in Norton Shores, Michigan, where he is developing his clinical skills and supporting client well-being under experienced clinical supervision.

Jonathan’s practicum experience at the Andrews University Community Counseling Center provided hands-on training in intake interviewing, mental status examinations, diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and clinical documentation. He incorporates evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, while emphasizing the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for healing. Jonathan tailors treatment plans to each client’s unique needs, practices cultural humility, and values collaborative supervision and multidisciplinary consultation, reflecting his commitment to professional growth and effective practice.

Jonathan provides compassionate, client-centered care for individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, and life transitions. He is committed to ethical practice, empathic listening, and helping clients build practical coping skills and insight that support stabilization and lasting change. Through careful assessment, thoughtful treatment planning, and ongoing learning, Jonathan is dedicated to supporting clients while contributing to Vantage Counseling’s mission under experienced clinical supervision.
